'I think most of all I enjoyed the entertaining and informative commentary.  My mind is full of battles and dates and my heart is full of a greater understanding of the Scottish land, its people and its history' - Tom Luck, USA, April 2009.

An fantastic tour to Loch Ness visiting a diverse range of classic Highland scenery, including many 'must see' sites and the chance to go Monster hunting! Other highlights include: dramatic Glencoe, mighty Ben Nevis, the Great Glen, Loch Ness and Highland Perthsire.

Heading north from Edinburgh we pass the imposing ramparts of Stirling Castle and then skirt the Trossachs (Rob Roy country).  We cross the wilds of Rannoch Moor before stopping at dramatic Glencoe, scene of the infamous massacre in 1692.  Our tour takes us past Fort William and Britain’s highest mountain, the mighty Ben Nevis before following the Great Glen and stopping in the village of Fort Augustus by the shores of the mysterious Loch Ness.  You have the option* to take a boat trip on Loch Ness, explore or simply relax by the Caledonian Canal in this gorgeous Highland village. Here you will receive your FREE locally produced picnic lunch.

Typical lunch includes: bottle of Scottish mineral water, a choice of freshly made sandwiches, fresh fruit and shortbread.

Our return journey passes through ‘Monarch of the Glen’ country, passing shimmering Loch Laggan before climbing over the wild and lonely Drumochter Pass.  Heading south, we enter Perthshire, Big Tree Country and a land of forests, rivers and mountains.   We then view the spectacular Forth Bridges before arriving back in the Capital around 8pm.

*Loch Ness Cruise option.  A cruise on the mysterious and beautiful Loch Ness is an unforgettable experience, offering the chance to catch a glimpse of Nessie.  The Royal Scot is a locally owned custom built boat, designed specifically for sailing on Loch Ness.  It's equipped with the very latest hi-tech colour sonar and Olex 3D underwater imaging system, giving you a fascinating view of the terrain and life underwater.  You can relax with a coffee or beer in the onboard bar. Cruise duration is approximately 1 hour.

You can purchase your cruise ticket at the time booking or from your guide on the day.  Tickets booked through us cost £10 for adults/seniors and £6 for Children (a saving of £0.50p on the standard ticket price) and allow you to board the boat immediately on arrival in the village without having to queue (stand in line).
